Stephen installed the new range hood today. What a fiasco. When he took the old one off the duct fell apart so he had to partially dismantle the cabinets, then go and buy new ducts and vents etc. So what we thought might be a 45 minute job turned in to a 4 hour job. We "saved" $130 (Sears install) by installing it ourselve but ended up spending $40 on materials. You could tell that the original installers (builder) did such a shitty job. The main exhaust duct does not line up with the center of the range so that was the biggest problem. Anyway, it is finally installed and Stephen was excited to use duct tape on an actual duct.

I am off to read more HP6. I am only 1/2 way through the book. Darn kids kept interruping me today! ;)
