Then Dex found a bottle with a note in it:
The note said:
Dear Dad -
You were supposed to be here with us today, celebrating your 70th birthday. You seemed so full of hope here, ready to make a change. I wish you were here to feel the sun, to watch the mist over the Olympics, to revel in nature and your family. We miss you. We love you always. We will guard your legacy with love and ferocity. You are loved. You are missed. You are a wonderful Dad. And you live on in our stories, out hearts and our memories.
